“Ceylon” The pearl of Indian Ocean identified by early explorers, sea merchants and traders, now known as “Sri Lanka”

To the east, west and south the oceans stretches unbroken, for thousands of miles. Sri Lanka is a land powered by rain. Warm monsoon winds that sweep down from the Bay of Bengal, precedes surrounding Sri Lanka. The island has a mountainous heart, bound by a ring of fertile coastal plains and rivers, which litter the land together with strange weather patterns. These are the perfect ingredients for a nutritional fertile Paradise. 

“Ceylon Green Roots” story begins on the highest peak of Sri Lanka. Starting life in mysterious high altitude cloud forest leaves and Debris, washed down the mountains by the main Four Rivers, which flows to the North, South, East and West of the island. They work their way through impenetrable jungles collecting sediment and nutrients from the Earth. On route, they water vast plantations of Paddy fields, Tea and Coconut which is Sri Lanka’s green gold. Across the vast Plains that circle the island where great wild herds are sustained by the life giving water and in turn they add their waste rich mix of nutrients. They’re finally mixed with soil and fertile the “Green Roots”, to bring out the Essence of Sri Lanka.
